Catching Fire

Catching Fire (The Hunger Games, #2)Catching Fire by Suzanne Collins
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

After defining the odds and the capitol Katniss and Peeta are doing their victory tour of the districts but not everything is good in the nation. Uprising and rumblings are occurring in most the districts. President Snow has placed the job of stamping out the rebellion on Katniss's shoulder. But nothing can stop the rising tide. When the President and the creators of the Hunger Games decide to add a twist to this years games. The tributes will be chosen from existing victors of the Games. Katniss and Peeta return to the Games and to once again fight for their lives. This time they team up with other victors but nothing is what it seems in this game not even the intentions of the other tributes.

This book started out a little slow for me and I actually put it down for a few months. Then a friend told me its worth reading so I pick the book back up and I am glad I did.

Katniss is a wonderfully complicated and endearing character. Reading her story you fell her emotions and conflicts.

Please read this series...Its well worth the read.
