Black Dawn

Black Dawn (The Morganville Vampires, #12)Black Dawn by Rachel Caine
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Now that the draug have infected Morganville no place is safe for Claire, Shane, Michael and Eve. Hiding in Founders square with a few remaining humans and vampires they fight for their survival against an enemy that travels by water. If things weren't bad enough Queen Vampire Amelia has been bitten by Master draug Magnus and is dying, Oliver is posed to take over as leader of Morganville, and Claire's is in danger because she is the only person that can Magnus.

As usual Rachel Caine as created another page turning novel full of twists and turns that were unexpected. What I like best about the Morganville Vampires series is that I am can never tell you whats going to happen next. Yes there is always danger, yes Clair and friends are always in the middle of danger, yes someone (usually a vampire) will betray Claire and friends causing more danger and yes Claire and friends will help once again save everyone but all the details are different and exciting.

I really enjoy this series and cant wait to get my hands on the next book.

Last Breath

Last Breath (The Morganville Vampires, #11)Last Breath by Rachel Caine
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Welcome to Morganville, where if you are not on your guard 24/7 you may end up dead.

Things are never quite in Morganville but they do start to take on a routine that starts to make everyone relax...a little. But nothing stays that way for long. Morganville is a powder keg waiting to ignite over Michael and Eve's upcoming wedding and to make matters worse vampires are going missing.

There is a new entity in Morganville not quite sure if he is a vampire or something else Claire and friends must discover what he is up to before Morganville is truly lost for good.

What I liked about this book besides that its a Morganville Vampire book...I liked that we got to see the story from multiple points of view. In the past these books have all been from Claire's point of view. In this book we see it from Amelia, Michael Eve, Shane's point of view. Now we know what is going on behind the scenes and how those actions relate back to Glass House.

Definitively one of my favorites in the series so far.

Bite Club

Bite Club (The Morganville Vampires, #10)Bite Club by Rachel Caine
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Its never quite in the town of Morganville. Just ask college student Claire and her roommates if they are not saving the town from a crazy vampire or crazy humans sometimes both. This week there is a new gym in Morganville thats being run by vampires, Ameilia's evil father Bishop has escaped his prison, vampires are disappearing all over town and now there is a secret fight club pitting vampires against humans. Just another week in Morganville.

I love this series. There is never a dull moment and just when you think you have a handle on the plot...wham your hit with a twist and now its 3AM and you are still reading the book. This is one of the best vampire series out there. Dont be fooled by its YA. Its well worth the read no matter what your age.

Just when you think things could not get any stranger in Morganville, they do. This book is not only a mystery with a little romance but it also tackles the subjects of trust and betrayl among friends. Its a great series.

Carpe Corpus

Carpe Corpus (The Morganville Vampires, #6)Carpe Corpus by Rachel Caine

My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Life is never quite in Morganville and with Mr. Bishop in charges of the sleepy Texas town it’s more dangerous than ever before. No humans or vampire is safe from his reach. Claire is all alone right now, Shane is in a cage, Michael is working for Bishop and Eve is not talking to any of them. Trying to keep her friends safe may be the death of Claire. But as always, things are not as they appear in Morganville, humans and vampires alike are working to bring Bishop and his evil little minions down.

Yet another rocking adventure in Morganville. Who know you could pack so much action and sp many plot twists into 218 pages? Rachel Caine did just that.

Lord of Misrule

Lord of Misrule (The Morganville Vampires, #5)Lord of Misrule by Rachel Caine
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Who knew so much could happen in sleepy little Morganville in 48 hours. The housemates are split up in an attempt to save Morganville from evil Bishop. That’s when things go from bad to worse. Ameile is missing, then Oliver goes missing along with Eve, Michael has to be locked up for his own good, a bunch of humans have decided to fight the vampires and half of Morganville is burning down. What happens next is a hair rising roller coaster ride of adventure. Behind every corner is more danger.

I can not get enough of these books. I am addicted and this book had the biggest cliff hanger of all time. It ranks right up there with, Who shot JR? If you are not reading these books you really should be. One of the best Young Adult Vampire series I have read.

Feast of Fools

Feast of Fools (The Morganville Vampires, #4)Feast of Fools by Rachel Caine

My rating: 4 of 5 stars

The vampires and humans in Morganville have learned to live with each other mostly with little incident. That is until Bishop shows up on Claire’s doorstep with her parents. Bishop makes Ameile, Oliver and Myrnin seem nice and caring. And Bishop isn’t
planning on moving to Morganville and adjusting to their way of life. Oh no he wants to take over and destroy Morganville in the process. Now all the vampires are walking on eggshells and inviting humans to the masquerade ball in Bishop's honor. Only Claire suspects it’s not a regular ball and she is going to have to trust Morganville’s 2nd scariest vampire to save her, friends, family and Morganville from a blood bath.

I am so addicted to this series. There are few series that I feel compelled to read and devour one after another. This is one of these series. I have a hard time putting the books down, the fast pace and adventure keeps me reading well past my bed time.

Midnight Alley

Midnight Alley (The Morganville Vampires, #3)Midnight Alley by Rachel Caine
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

I am starting to feel very bad for Claire and her roommates. Just as 1 crisis ends with in days sometimes moments they are in the middle of another life threatening crisis. They all have to be suffering from PTSD!!!!!

Claire is now under Amelie's protection but like with all things in Morganville that comes with conditions. She has to work with Myrnin, Morganville’s scariest vampire who is also Morganville's scariest vampire. Monica wants to be BFF's with Claire, which might be scarier than working with Myrnin. And just so life in Morganville never gets dull someone has outed Michael as the towns newest vampire and dead girls are turning up all over the place.

Another great book in the series!! I sat down to read a chapter and before you know it I had finished the book. I didn’t want to put it down. One of the best young adult vampire series I have read in awhile. I can’t wait to see what happens next.

The Dead Girls Dance

The Dead Girls' Dance (The Morganville Vampires, #2)The Dead Girls' Dance by Rachel Caine
My rating: 3 of 5 stars

Claire, Michael, Shane and Eve are back and even though they just barley solved all their problems they are once again neck deep in vampire problems. This time Shane's dad has returned to Morganville with a bunch of bikers and he wants to burn town the whole town and kill all the vampires. His plans means nothing but trouble for Claire and her roommates. No matter how much they try and keep their heads down they get dragged into the middle of a Morganville smack down.

These is a great series of books to read. Full of twists, danger, and Claire is more likely to get out of trouble if she uses her head. But best of all it is full of mean, dark, seductive and nasty vampires. None of those glittering, moody, pansy vampires for Morganville.

Glass Houses

Glass Houses (The Morganville Vampires, #1)Glass Houses by Rachel Caine

My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Claire Danvers is 16 (almost 17) and a college freshman. Away from home for the first time she is just trying to survive but when a local college girl decides that Claire is an easy target. Claire moved off campus to stay save. Only her roommates are a little weird. Eve dresses like a Goth; Shane is really good looking but plays video games all day and Michael, sleeps all day only appearing after the sun goes down. Claire is in over her head especially now that she has discovered Morganville is run by Vampires. And Claire knows more than the Vampires are comfortable having an outsider know. Trying to protect herself and friends might get her killed but she is sure her roommates have her back even the ones that never come out during the day.

I enjoy a vampire book full of scary as hell vampires. And this book only has scary as hell vampires. Full of plot twists, adventure and misfits this book has a lot going for it. A must read for any fan of the paranormal genre.
